Don't Get Dead is an American rock band that hails from the sleepy little Southern Illinois river town known as Alton. Sitting just across the mighty Mississippi from St. Louis, Missouri, it is this small artist-driven community that sparked the creative fuel that inspired these 5 to join forces and continues to drive them to create a unique brand of noise rock that twists and churns muck like an old wooden roller coaster. Just as it seems that they are fast approaching maximum velocity and coming apart at the rails, they pull you back into a "safe" and euphoric tail-wagging trance. Raised on guitar rock from the 60's and 70's and formed by the 90's grunge and noise rock scene, these gentlemen don't disappoint. It's as if Thin Lizzy and The Jesus Lizard birthed a child, left it with caffeine and sharp objects, all while wolves raised it.
